Private Early Dating Scan in St Helens
At Hello Baby we can perform early dating scans in St Helens 6 weeks from your LMP (last menstrual period). If you are 6 weeks or more from your LMP, our machine will measure baby, enabling us to provide you with an approximate gestation and delivery date.
We take pictures and we will always try our best to fit you in the same day, where possible if you require an urgent appointment. We always advise that you properly prepare for your scan.

Should we notice something unusual, we will take the action to refer you to your midwife, GP or local hospital for further medical investigation.
When we perform our private early pregnancy scans we use a trans-abdominal probe, not a trans-vaginal probe. If you undergo a scan very early in the pregnancy we may not be able to see as clearly with our probe as with a vaginal probe and are only able to perform this scan on ladies that are approximately 6-12 weeks into the pregnancy.
It is important that you attend your NHS appointments, as the exact delivery date will be given at your first hospital scan which occurs after around 12 weeks. During this early pregnancy scan in St Helens, the relevant diagnostic checks will also be performed.
