When Hello Baby is around, there is always an early gender scan near me in the North West!
We are happy to provide gender scans, which as the name suggest, is a scan to determine the sex of your baby, to increase the excitement further (if that’s even possible) and gives you the chance to start preparing for the arrival of your little one.
A gender scan in St Helens can take place from as little as 14 weeks into your pregnancy, so you can find out the baby’s gender as soon as possible. This is done purely as a 2D scan, or you can check out our 3/4D bonding scans, which is another way of finding out your babies sex.
Gender scans are not 100% accurate, therefore Hello Baby cannot be held responsible should you be informed of the wrong gender. This is due to a number of factors, including the position of your baby during the scan, as it may have moved into a position which makes it difficult to determine their gender. Although this is unlikely, it can occur.
The prices of the private early gender scans from Hello Baby are as follows:
- 2D – £40
- 4D – £60
For any employees of the NHS, armed forces or any public services, police, fire service etc. we offer a 10% discount on our early gender scans.
If you wish to book your scan or will like to discuss our private gender scan services with a member of our experienced team, then please contact us by calling 01744 810 999. Alternatively get in touch via email at email@example.com.
Does a 14 week gender scan work?
Due to advancements in technology, the timeframe in which we can see what sex a baby is likely to be has been brought forward, which is a huge advantage for all involved. This is because, until week 14, the genitals haven’t been fully formed yet, meaning there is no way of knowing what sex the baby will be! However, after this milestone has been reached, it is usually noticeable on a professional ultrasound the crucial anatomical differences which determine the sex. Of course, we can never 100% guarantee accuracy, and this is down to a number of factors including:
- Position of the baby
- Position of the placenta
- Weight of mum
If you book in for an early gender scan with us, we will always aim to be as thorough as possible, doing our best to get those crucial angles of your baby that you want to see! So if you would like an early gender scan after 14 weeks then feel free to book in with us today. Why not get in touch with one of our friendly and experienced team now?
How accurate is a 14 week gender scan?
It is important to state from the off that unfortunately, there is always a chance an early gender scan at 14 weeks could be wrong. After all, this is the very first week in pregnancy that your baby’s genitals are viewable on ultrasound and whilst the baby is still so small, there is every chance it could be wrongly determined.
However, for those parents who are desperate for an early sneak peed of your baby, there is some good news! Early gender scans at 14 weeks (thanks to modern technology) have been known to be up to 99% accurate – and although no scanning facility can promise 100% accuracy on the gender of your baby at 14 weeks, we can certainly come pretty close!
