Gender Scans in St Helens
If you are looking for somewhere to undergo an early gender scan in St Helens then look no further than Hello Baby!
We provide private gender scans, which as the name suggests, is a scan to determine the sex of your baby. A baby gender scan in St Helens can take place from 14 weeks into your pregnancy and can be performed purely as a 2D scan to find out the gender of your baby or as part of your 3/4D bonding scan – each of which are part of our scan packages.
Gender scans are not 100% accurate, therefore Hello Baby cannot be held responsible should you be informed of the wrong gender. This is due to a number of factors such as the position your baby is in during the scan as the baby may have moved into a position which makes it difficult to determine their gender.
Private gender baby scans at Hello Baby, and their prices, are as follows:
- 2D for £40
- 4D for £60
For any employees of the NHS, armed forces or any of the public services, such as the police, will receive 10% discount on our early gender scans.
If you wish to book your scan or will like to discuss our private gender scan services with a member of our experienced team, then please contact us by calling 01744 810 999. Alternatively get in touch via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can you tell gender at 14 weeks ultrasound?
As technology has advanced, the timeframe in which we can see what sex a baby is likely to be has been brought forward, which is great news for those expectant parents who just can’t wait to find out! However, is it really the case that we can tell the gender of your baby as early as just 14 weeks?
Studies have shown that up until the 14th week of pregnancy, babies look the same on ultrasound, whether they are a boy or a girl. This is because, until week 14, the genitals haven’t fully formed yet! However, after this milestone has been reached, it is usually noticeable on a professional ultrasound the crucial anatomical differences which determine the sex. Of course, we can never 100% guarantee accuracy, and this is down to a number of factors including:
- Position of the baby
- Position of the placenta
- Weight of mum
If you book in for an early gender scan with us, we will always aim to be as thorough as possible and will do our best to get those crucial angles of your baby. So, if you’re 14 weeks pregnant and would like to book for an early gender scan today, why not get in touch with one of our team?
How accurate is a 14-week gender scan?
It is important to state from the off that there is always a chance an early gender scan at 14 weeks could be wrong. After all, this is the very first week in pregnancy that your baby’s genitals are viewable on ultrasound, and whilst baby is still so small there is every chance it could be wrongly determined.
However, for those parents who are desperate for an early sneak peek of baby, there is some good news! Early gender scans at 14 weeks (thanks to modern technology) have been known to be up to 99% accurate – and although no scanning facility can promise 100% accuracy on the gender of your baby at 14 weeks, we can come pretty close!
