We are happy to provide the highest standard of gender scan, which as the name suggests, is a scan to determine the sex of your baby. This occasion only proves to increase the levels of excitement further (if this is even possible!) and gives you the chance to start preparing for the arrival of your little one as soon as possible.
A gender scan in St Helens can take place from as little as 14 weeks into your pregnancy, with our 14 week gender scan option proving immensely popular with those that just can’t contain their excitement and intrigue any longer. This is done purely as a 2D scan, but you can also check out our 3D/4D bonding scans, another immersive way of finding out the sex of your baby.
A gender scan can never be 100% accurate, therefore Hello Baby cannot be held responsible should you be informed of the wrong gender. This is due to a number of factors, including the position of your baby during the scan, as It may have moved into a position that makes it difficult to determine their gender. Although this is unlikely, it can occur during your private gender scan, so it is worth noting.
The prices of private early gender scans from Hello Baby are as follows:
- 2D – £40
- 4D – £60
For any employees of the NHS, armed forces or any public services including the police, fire and ambulance department etc. we offer a 10% discount on our early gender scans.
If you wish to book your scan or will like to discuss our gender scan services with a member of our experienced team, then please contact us by calling 01744 810 999. Alternatively, you can get in touch via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Does a 14 week gender scan work?
Due to advancements in technology, the timeframe in which we can see what sex a baby is likely to be, has been brought forward. This is, of course, a huge advantage for all involved, allowing for not only more preparation but more excitement! This is because, until week 14, the baby’s genitals haven’t been fully formed yet, meaning there is no way of knowing what the sex will be.
However, after this milestone has been reached, it is usually noticeable on a professional ultrasound, so we can spot the crucial anatomical differences which determine the sex of a baby. Of course, we can never guarantee 100% accuracy, with this being attributed to a number of factors, including:
- Position of the baby
- Position of the placenta
- Weight of mum
If you book in for an early gender scan with us, we will always aim to be as thorough as possible, doing our best to get those crucial angles of your baby that you want to see! So if you would like an early gender scan after 14 weeks then feel free to book in with us today. Why not get in touch with one of our friendly and experienced team now?
How accurate is a 14 week gender scan?
It is important to state from the off that unfortunately, there is always a chance an early gender scan at 14 weeks could be wrong. After all, this is the very first week in pregnancy that your baby’s genitals are viewable on ultrasound and whilst the baby is still so small, there is every chance it could be wrongly determined.
However, for those parents who are desperate for an early sneak peek of their baby, there is some good news! Early gender scans at 14 weeks (thanks to modern technology) have been known to be up to 99% accurate – and although no scanning facility can promise 100% accuracy on the gender of your baby at 14 weeks, we can certainly come pretty close!
